How to Search the Registry

The Companies Office registers information about corporations and business names. You can search the Registry to obtain information on, for example, who is doing business under a trade name, where the business is located, who are its partners or directors. You can:

In-Person

If you are able to visit the office, you may obtain a File Summary or search a file for any business name or corporation registered in Manitoba.  A File Summary provides a report containing the latest information on record for a business or corporation.  If you search a file, you will be able to examine all of the actual documents on file for a company.  Information on the fees for these services is available on the Fees page.  We are located in the Woodsworth Building, Room 1010-405 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Access the Companies Office Database by subscribing to Manitoba Online

Manitoba Online™ provides subscribers with access to the Companies Office database as well as other provincial government databases. Subscribers to the Companies Office database are able to access the most recent information available for businesses and corporations on record in Manitoba (but not to copies of actual documents on file).  The service offers an alternative to in-person visits to government offices and is particularly valuable to those who require frequent, regular access to government databases.  Visit the Manitoba Online™ website for more information on subscribing to this service.
