How to register a name notation
- Step 1: File a Request for Name Reservation online with the fee of $45.00.
- Step 2: File a Request for Name Notation with the fee of $60.00.
How to
- Renew the Registration - Name notations must be renewed every three years from the date of registration. Renewals are sent to the mailing address on record approximately three months before the due date. The filing fee is $60.00. If not filed, the registration will expire.
Please note:
- The renewal can be filed within six months of expiry
- After six months, a new registration must be filed by filing a Request for Name Reservation and Request for Name Notation with the required filing fees.
- Change the Mailing Address - Submit a letter to update the mailing address where Renewals are sent. There is no filing fee.
- Change the Name -
- Step 1: File a Request for Name Reservation online to determine if the new name is available. More information about Name Reservations is available here.
- Step 2: File a Change of Name Notation before the name reservation expires. There is no filing fee.
How to dissolve a name notation
- File a Dissolution form. There is no filing fee.
Note: The registration will expire if it is not renewed every three years.
